CCI at CHFR Holmenkollen 2015

Many center members participated at the annual Center for Heart Failure Research (CHFR) Symposium at Holmenkollen, Oslo this year. The symposium took place on Thursday 24th and Friday 25th with a NORHEART seminar on Wednesday 23rd of September.

Remarkably 63 % of all the moderated posters presented under session V: Diagnostic and therapeutical strategies for cardiac disease where from CCI PhD scholars. Ida Skrinde Leren, Nina Eide Hasselberg, Trine Fink Håland, Jørg Saberniak and Stian Ross all gave a three minute presentation of the data from their studies, followed by two minutes dedicated for questions.

Each year the winners of the best poster prize are rewarded with 5 000 nok. This year PhD scholar Nina Eide Hasselberg, MD received the best poster price from the session V: Diagnostic and therapeutical strategies for cardiac disease for her poster titled; "Prevalence and cardiac penetrance of Lamin A/C mutation in Norway".

PhD scholar Jørg Saberniak, MD in front of his poster titled: "Discrimination between early arrhytmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC) and right ventricular outflow tract ventricular tachycardia (RVOT-VT) by cardiac imaging".
PhD scholar Stian Ross, MD, in front of his poster titled: "Characteristics of regions with poor acute hemodynamic response in cardiac resynchronization therapy".
PhD scholar Ida Skrinde Leren, MD during her moderated poster presentation on Thursday 24th of September. Her poster was titled: " Nadolol seems to have superior anti arrhythmic effect compared to selective beta blockers in patients with catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT)". Leren was awarded with 5000 nok at the CHFR Symposium last year for her poster titeld: "Long QT syndrome - an electro mechanical disease".
Phd scholar Nina Eide Hasselberg, MD in front of her poster titled: "Prevalence and cardiac penetrance of Lamin A/C mutation in Norway" which she also was awarded the poster price of 5 000 nok during this years symposium. Hasselberg did also receive the poster price in 2014 for her poster titled: " Longitudinal myocardial function by echocardiographic strain predicts mortality in heart failure patients with cardiac resynchronization therapy".
PhD scholar Trine Fink Håland, MD and Center Director of Cardiology Research, Kristina Haugaa, PhD, MD in front of Håland's poster titled: "Left ventricular function and timings are related to ventricular arrhythmias and fibrosis in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy".
